Prosenjit and Rituparna promises to reignite their magic in Ajogya. Will this milestone reaffirm their brilliance in the eyes of the audience?

After a 14-year hiatus, the iconic duo of Prosenjit-Rituparna, who once dominated Bengali cinema in the 90s with hits like 'Mayar Badhan', 'Baba Keno Chakar', and 'Sosurbari Zindabad', are reuniting on the big screen. Their reunion, orchestrated by director Kaushik Ganguly, promises to bring back the magic that audiences have longed for.

Despite a brief reunion in 2016 in 'Praktan' with Shiboprosad and Nandita and 2018 in 'Drishtikone' with Kaushik Ganguly, they haven't shared the screen for the past five years until now.

Their upcoming film, titled 'Ajogya', directed again by Kaushik Ganguly, marks their 50th collaboration, a milestone rarely achieved in Indian cinema. The story revolves around Raktim Majumdar, a bank employee who loses his job, leading to a shift in dynamics within his family. With Raktim taking on domestic responsibilities and his wife Parna joining an investment firm, their lives encounter a twist with the entry of Prasen. How this impacts their middle-class existence forms the crux of the narrative, promising an intriguing exploration of ordinary life complexities.

Apart from Prosenjit and Rituparna, the film also features Shilajit and Sudip Mukherjee. Prosenjit expressed his excitement about working with Kaushik Ganguly again and celebrating their 50th film together with Rituparna, anticipating a memorable experience. Rituparna, on the other hand, thanked the audience for their enduring love and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Kaushik Ganguly, hoping to meet the expectations set by this collaboration.
