Nayan Rahasya: It is all in the eye!

About the story: Before discussing anything about the film I would like to say that most of you have readthisstory Nayan Rahasyo and must have enjoyed it. What you feel after watching the filmpleasedolet us know because I would like to know whether you could find in the similarity betweenthebook you have read and the film which you have seen. Yes it has to be acknowledged that through this film feluda is returning and we all want him to return because he is an iconiccharacter. But I would want to ask all if you one question - do you feel that this feluda is by anychance the 2024 version of feluda?

About the cast and crew: Indraneil Sengupta, Ayush Das, Abhijit Guha, Abhinav Barua, Debnath Chatterjee, SupriyaDutta, Punya Darshan Gupta, Atmadip Ghosh, Biswajit Chakraborty, Rajesh Sharma, Bharath Kaul, Shubhrajit Dutta and others.

About the Director and the Producer: The film is directed by Sandip Ray and produced by Surinder Films Private limited.

About the film review: The story revolves around this young boy who can tell many things without seeing it. Thereisascene where he is saying how much money is there in the pocket of an individual. Then thereisanother scene in which he is saying whether there is any cash inside a safe. It is on this premise, on this special capability of the young boy that the story is written. But only the story candonothing to salvage this film because this is after all a film and and how far it qualifies as afilmis the most important question.

If I have to talk about a positive point of the movie then I must say that I didn't find any apart from the fact that this movie is directed by Sandeep Ray. But what we expect froma SandeepRay movie is absolutely lacking in this film.

Here the cast and crew who are chosen for the film do not do justice to the characters. Secondly whenever we talk about feluda his two other accomplises Topsey and Lal MohanBabucome inevitably. But here this bonding is missing.

Now let me talk about the technical part of the movie. Do you think that the angles whichareused to capture the shots, they evoke any kind of any sense of mystery? This question is actually for those who have already seen it and those who haven't seen it yet for themlet metell you that the angles captured by the DOP here are not at all good. The background music istouching us partially but not entirely. This is because the iconic music of Satyajit Ray is usedinthis movie. If I talk about the individual background score of the movie then it definitely fails to touch us.

Now let me talk about the performance of the cast and crew. The speciality of feluda's character is his show of intelligence and there has to be some intellectual look for a persontoplay his character. But that intelligence is missing here in Indranil's appearance. The dialogueswhich are written none of them have that sharpness with which we relate the character of feluda. And the colour grading of the film is also not up to the mark because the colour gradingdoesn't help to build the mystery in the film. Thus if I have to give an overall reviewof thismovieI cannot say that it's a good one. I did not like the movie.

Verdict: As an audience I did not like the movie. However I am a lover of Bengali filmand would definitely recommend all of you to go and watch it once. I wish the film impresses the feludalovers and particularly the young ones
