Mirza Review: Unveiling Kolkata's Drug-Free Mission Amidst Action and Intrigue
About the story: As a mass movie, Mirza is quite impressive. We will discuss about all the positive and the negative aspects of the film. But before that I would like to talk about the subject of the film. The subject centres around the aim to make Kolkata drug-free. There is a racket which operates and they indulge in various types of addiction, conduct the business of addictive substances, etc. To break this racket, a police inspector comes. In the centre of this racket is Sultan. In his very home enters the trump card, which is played by Ankush. Why he enters his home, what is finally done with him - to know all these answers you have to watch the film.

About the Film Review: Firstly let me tell you, of all the mass movies which are currently being made in Tollywood, this is probably the best. Starting from the look and feel to every other aspect; everything is handled very carefully. Since everyone has waited for this movie for a long time, people will find a different kind of enjoyment after watching it. That is the biggest plus point.
For a film to be a mass movie, the most important element is perhaps the presentation. Another important factor is how have all the actors performed in the project. Here everyone's performance is good. Firstly let me tell you, of all the mass movies which are currently being made in Tollywood, this is probably the best. Starting from the look and feel to every other aspect; everything is handled very carefully. Since everyone has waited for this movie for a long time, people will find a different kind of enjoyment after watching it. That is the biggest plus point. Now let us talk about the technical aspects of the movie. When a mass movie is made it is obviously enhanced by the technical aspects. Here all the technical parts are well-handled, too.
About the acting Part: Here we can see Ankush, Oindrila, Kaushik Ganguly, Rishi Kaushik- everyone has given awesome performance. Not only that, in this movie there is a different kind of experimentation with the looks of the actors. In the mass movies of today's time look experiment is very essential and here it is done quite successfully. Ankush looks quite impressive and there is a lot of heroism in him. On the other hand Kaushik Ganguly, in this movie, has really excelled. The kind of look which his character is given , his mannerism , his stylization, the way he is eating, everything is unique. The man who has portrayed the character of Aazhar is also very good. Now let us talk about Oindrila. In films of other language specifically those of south India,we see the female characters to be very powerful. In Bengali films we rarely see that. However in this movie Oindrila's character is very powerful. This is really praise-worthy and oindrila has also performed very well. Lastly let me talk about Rishi Kaushik. He has played the role of a police inspector and it is he who is trying to break this racket. And he, in his role, is excellent.
About the script and the technical part: The technical parts are quite good. The work of the DOP here is very good. The way he has captured the angles, all the characters have become larger than life. This is a big advantage. Colour grading is also done beautifully. This is a movie that focuses on criminal activities and hence the use of dark tones create the mood. On the other hand the way the romantic scenes are portrayed and more importantly how the romantic scenes and the scenes of the underworld are separated by use of the lighting and colour that is really good.
Now let me talk about the script design of the movie. Those of you who have already watched the movie, you must be knowing that the dialogues of the film are brilliant. On the one hand there are Goosebumps in certain scenes where else in some other there is a undertone of comedy. Another important feature of the movie is that the film is spiced with comedy. The background music is good, too.
Verdict: There is a great hype about the film and I think those who like commercial films are going to love it. The response is pretty good and the film is likely to set a record. Go ahead and watch the movie and let us know your opinion.
