About the Trailer Review
Kabuliwala is a renowned story written by Rabindranath Tagore. Such stories inspire filmmakers to make films and even Kabuliwala has been made in the past where ‘Chobi Biswas’ played the lead role. The story goes like this, a Kabuliwala, an Afghan dry fruit seller, comes all the way from Afghanistan and befriends Mini, a young girl who reminds him of his own daughter. What happens after this? Once the film is released you will come to know
I am not at all happy with the making as per the trailer. I have seen this film before and read the original story as well. Rabindranath Tagore has focussed on the sentiments in his story which you will get to see in the previous film where Chibi Biswas acted but the sentiments portrayed in this film is very different. If the sentiment lacks in the plot, the film is a sure shot failure. Modernity do not mean changing the sentiments. Yes, the presentation can be different and unique. In this trailer, it is quite distinguishable that the voice of Mithun Chakraborty does not go with the character of Kabuliwala at all. Mithun Chakraborty is a well A-class actor but here he do not fit as Kabuliwala. Few songs and background music has been done which does not go with the title at all. The song does not enhance the story in any way. It looks that the song is the biggest drawback in this film. If I talk about the acting, everyone performed well
The art direction looks good in few scenes but somewhere it lacks the essence Like the dance platform set by the director does not looks promising. What other changes persist in detail we will come to know once the film is released. Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar looks good. As Kabuliwala, specially with voice modulation Mithun Chakraborty fails. This is completely my personal opinion
Now if I talk about the technical part- The editing, color gradation, cinematography as per the trailer looks average. The only positive point in the making is that once again a story is adapted from Bengali Literature. Now how it will be presented in the film is the big question!

Verdict
After seeing the trailer, I am very disheartened. Whether the film will catch the audience attention will only be known once it releases. The film hits the theatre on 22nd December,2023.
