About the Trailer Reaction
Friends there was a time when someone who played the part of a villain on stage. He used to get the aggression of audience and that character took the reaction as a blessing for an artist but nowadays things have changed completely. Any film you watch is villain concentric. A movie becomes hit today when it is based on villain aspect more than hero concentric. We see megastars just waiting for an opportunity to get the role of a villain. We will see such a character which is played by Mosharraf Karim, we all know him as a comedy genre mega artist. Recently in the web series “Mobaroknama” we saw him playing the role of a frustrated lawyer. In “Hubba” we are getting him completely in a different avatar. He has been portrayed as a gangster in this film. I will say his acting is very good but I do not find any unique factor in the villain as per the trailer. There is nothing more to say about the story as those who have watched the trailer by now, they know that it is a crime drama- means vulgarity, sexual content everything is incorporated, slangs, murder all have been used. The cat and mouse chase is there between the gangster and police but I felt the political aspect is less in this film as per the trailer
Actually, in crime drama the central aspect is the political segment. Maybe director Bratya Basu wants to show something but I have a question, why such genre is so acceptable to the audience? If you follow the trending list then you will know what audience wants. Audience wants entertainment more than content and such entertainment comes from action scenes, bold scenes and political issue to enhance this power such genre of films is more available than other genres. Today’s cinematic vision reflects the thoughts and wants of audience. Cinema is a social platform which showcases the progress of human mind. Good or bad that decision is on you
Coming to the technical part, if you have seen my recent reviews with attention, you all must have noticed that I am not saying much about the technical segment. The same angles, the same scenario, nothing is new. In “Mobaroknama” the technical aspect was quite commendable because the cinematographer took some geometric angles to establish the scene. We definitely learn from these, like previously in Ritwik Ghatak’s film but nowadays director is so conscious about the mainstream segment that they mostly focus on the ariel view when it comes to cinematography. In details I will comment when the film is released but seeing the editing and color grading in the trailer it looks good. Now if I talk about the background music. Honestly, as sounded in the trailer I did not find it good. May be the director tried something different but I personally found it bad.
Coming to the script, I previously mentioned that many slangs have been used. The slangs from Mosharraf Karim sound sweet but in many other scenes the punchline could have been strong. Yes, it’s not possible to see so many punchlines in a trailer but we expect to get such in the film.

Verdict
Overall, I will recommend those who loves the taste of crime drama they must go and watch the film in theatres. They will surely enjoy and mostly those who are Mosharraf Karim’s fan.
