"Welcome to 'Homestay Murders', a riveting series that masterfully blends tradition with intrigue. This show follows the beloved whodunit format, sure to captivate any fan of the genre. However, don't be fooled by its familiar structure - the identity of the culprit is cleverly unveiled from the outset, offering Agatha Christie enthusiasts an exhilarating challenge. It is not until the gripping third and fourth episodes that the motive behind these chilling crimes is finally exposed. Sayantan, the brilliant creator of this suspense-filled world, expertly crafts an atmosphere of tension, artfully weaving in tantalizing twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The mounting mystery is executed with precision, delivering all the thrilling elements one could desire in a pulse-pounding thriller. While it may not send shivers down your spine, it will undoubtedly captivate your attention from start to finish. Accompanied by an evocative soundtrack and visually stunning shots, the show embraces the timeless allure of classical mysteries, further immersing you in its captivating world. However, it is important to note that amidst the well-crafted central mystery, the series could benefit from giving due attention to its subsidiary storylines. Despite this minor drawback, 'Homestay Murders' is a must-watch for any lover of suspense and intrigue."
Arjun, also known as Animesh, captivates audiences with his candid and delightful on-screen presence. Aparajita Ghosh Das is equally convincing in her role. Both actors portray their characters with a subtle yet effortlessly natural flair. While Saurav occasionally goes overboard, the true issue lies with Sohini. Despite her reputation as a talented actress, her delivery and performance seem out of sync. Furthermore, the exaggerated dialogues assigned to her only exacerbate the issue, causing her to appear overly dramatic. Towards the end, she regains her mojo, but unfortunately, it is a bit too late as the show reaches its conclusion. Debchandrima's portrayal is slightly loud, while Judhajit and Sabuj deliver solid performances. Parno, on the other hand, has limited opportunities to shine.
