Gobhir Joler Maach Season 2: There is definitely something fishy here!
About the story: Those of you who have watched the first part of the web series, you already know that this is a crime drama. Those who have watched the first season of this web series, it will be easier to watch the season two because these two are closely related. If you haven't watched the season one then it might be a little difficult for you to understand that link, which is there between season one and season two. Wives of 4 individuals together decided to play the game in which they would discuss the characteristics of their husbands and would try to understand whether their husbands were attracted to any other woman or not. On the other hand the husbands are also playing a game where they are trying to analyse whether their wives have any motive of getting into any extra marital relation ship with anyone. In the process of this planning, someone gets murdered. So now arises the mystery why this murder took place or who has murdered? To know the answer to all these you have to watch the full web series.
About the cast and crew: The web series casts Ushashi Ray, Ananya Sen, Judhajit Sarkar, Prantik Banerjee, Shoumo Banerjee, Rajdeep Gupta, Arpan Ghoshal, Titiksha Das, Debnath Chatterjee and others.
About the director and producer: This web series is directed by Sahana Dutta and produced by Missing Screw.
About the web series review: As I already told you that those who haven't watched the season one might find it a little difficult to understand the link with season two. Moreover every web series which is mystery-oriented tries to enhance the suspense level. But here so many things are happening together that it gets a bit jumbled up and instead of the suspense getting enhanced it is the confusion which is getting enhanced. So this is one problem.
Coming to the performance of the actors, everyone's performance is okay but at times I felt that some of them were a little loud. For example Ushoshi. There is a scene where after the husbands have made their plans and the wives have made their plans and both the parties got to know about each others plans, they together call a meeting. There I felt in certain particular scenes she was very loud but I wouldn't point out; it is for you to judge. In many portions there are flashbacks. Now this switch over from flashback to reality and the vice versa would have become a bit confusing. But in order to rule out that possibility the director has used the word "flashback" in those parts. And the use of these words is itself creating different appeal. Lastly, there is a police inspector who has performed quite well.
The background music of the series is more or less good. There is not much to elaborate in the technical section. The camera angles are alright. There are certain common camera angles forthese type of stories. Colour grading is also okay.
But what is important is the pace of this series and in many places certain scenes are repeated time and again. Outdoor scenes are very less, as the series is mostly shot indoors owing to the budget. And since there are not many variations in the scenes, at times you may feel bored.
Verdict: If you love mystry, watch this series. If can keep your patience and watch till the end I think you are going to like it.
