Trailer Review:
We all know Lord Vishnu has taken different avatar to punish the guilty and end the sins. To end the sins in Kalyug the avatar which appears is itself Srijit Mukherjee’s upcoming movie Dawshom Awbotaar, whose trailer has been released today
According to the trailer, the plot revolves around serial killing. The serial killer thinks himself to be an anarchist fighting against the social evils of the society. Whether he is a serial killer or a saviour of the society can only be known once you watch the film. The way the trailer has been edited has impressed me a lot, totally a bull’s eye. It definitely raises our curiosity to wait for the film release
According to the trailer, we can see Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya as police inspector. We have seen these two actors in their previous film Baishe Sravan and Vinci Da with their famous characters named Prabir Roy Chowdhury and Bijoy Poddar. The film though happens to be a prequel still we get new avatar with a flavour of the old ones. Even Jaya Ahsan’s character is crucial as she becomes a part of this duo as the film proceeds. From the trailer it is assumed that Jishu Sengupta is the main villain but we all are aware how Srijit Mukherjee leaves a twist in the climax. To know the twist and find out whether he is the main villain or not you have to watch the film once it releases in theatres
Kudos to the director for bringing these two characters completely different in this prequel film. The way the dialogues have been implemented is fabulous. It completely sets with the mannerism of the characters, like in one of the scenes we see Prosenjit Chatterjee says to call him Prabir Sir not Prabir babu as to him he has not opened any commodity shop. In another scene we see Anirban showing his humour by asking someone to call him Poddar babu without stammering or else it sounds dirty. Such subtle humour engages audience to keep their seats at their edge
The script is filled with numerous punchlines, specially, the entry scenes when we see Prosenjit entering makes his character larger than life, even the way Anirban jumps and makes his entrance gives the film a complete commercial package
Coming to the technical part, the cinematographer has well taken the shots giving a significance to the camera angles plus the commercial treatment he kept in mind while taking the shots. The editing is also great as we find no jerk as per the trailer. The colour gradation and background music has enhanced the scenes of the trailer. The dark colour tone used in the scenes as well as the background music building suspense engages audience to watch the full trailer. There is humor implemented by Srijit Mukherjee, not a slapstick humor though but a different aspect completely which will come as a surprise package in this film.
Verdict:
The film releases in theatres on 19th October. I am super excited to watch the film and review on it. If you are also excited like me do let us know in the comment section.
