23rd September is Srijit Mukherjee’s birthday. On this auspicious occasion the director launched the trailer of his upcoming Bengali movie “Dawshom Awbotaar” to be released on 19th October in Durga Puja. He celebrated his birthday with the full cast and crew and many other celebrities like Dev, Saswata Chatterjee, Ditipriya were all present at the party.
The official trailer was released by Svf on 24th September. Dawshom Awbotaar is a double prequel of Baishe Srabon and Vinci Da. The two famous characters Prabir Roy Chowdhury played by Prosenjit Chatterjee and Bijoy Poddar played by Anirban Bhattacharya returns in this film as cops. The film promises to be a high voltage action-drama that will bring a wave in Durga Puja
Speaking to Bengali Film Reviews Prosenjit Chatterjee said, “Durga Puja is very important for Bengali cinema as people have gotten habituated to watch films on the big screen, besides visiting various pandals.'' ''Four films will be released during Durga Puja. I hope that all four films record good audience turnout from the very first show. If all the films do well at the box office, it will ultimately be good for Bengali cinema,''
