About the Trailer Review:
This is Nehal Dutta's film Daroga Mamur Kirti. After a long span of time we got Ranjeet Mallick back on silver screen. Ranjeet Mallick mesmerized everyone with his performance. Again we are going to get him back and in a completely different role. We have seen Ranjeet Mallick performing the role of a strict police officer many times but this film belongs to an absolutely different genre. At the beginning you will think that he is a strict police officer but later his various tricks with his wife Laboni Sarkar and his various experiments with the thieves in the police station make this film an out and out comedy. That is a new twist in this film because we will get Ranjeet Mallick in a different avatar.
Now if we summarise the story, it goes like this. There is a small place called Kali Narayan Pur, where there are many criminals. To stop them, a police officer is coming. Upto this, it is similar to other stories. But what happens after the arrival of the police inspector is what makes this film unique. Because we get to see that before his arrival, comes his belt. Why the belt is coming? Because he is known by his belt. He encounters with his belt. So can you understand how funny the story is?
Then we see that gradually Ranjeet Mullick is entering. There is a comic flavour in the entry, too. Then how is he punishing someone? Either he is whipping someone or he is pulling out his moustache. The term whipping will remind you of Ranjeet Mallick first, because this a patent dialogue of Ranjeet Mallick. Ranjeet Mullick is there but the term whipping is missing, this means that we are not getting Ranjeet Mallick in his full glory. Here this terminology is repeatedly used and he is sometimes writing poems, sometimes he is doing funny emotional things with his wife . There are few dialogues that we get to hear like " do not play Kaharba raag, play raag Dadra instead". Here that dialogue is used, "play Dadra".
Acting Part :
Here the casting is good. Mainly Ranjeet Mallick is there, then there is Laboni Sarkar, who is quite known for her comic acting. Then there is Kharaj Mukherjee whose comic acting is also great. If you have seen the movie Golpo Holeo Sotti, then you will realise that Kharaj's character is similar to that of Rabi Ghosh. His entry is similar to that of Rabi Ghosh and he is himself saying that 'I am Rabi Ghosh'.
Thus there is comic flavour in the entire story and all the dialogues are quite entertaining.
This apart, I am liking the story line, because in this type of stories, it usually happens that in some place there are thieves and robbers; a police is coming to make things right. Then there fights and violence. And the film turns serious. But this is an out and out comedy film which we don't get to see often. Thus this film is going to be unique.
Scripting and Technical part:
If we talk about the technical part then I must say that I have quite liked the technical side. The editing and colour grading are also perfect for a comedy film.
This film is going to present Ranjeet Mallick in a new light, that we can easily conclude. And this is going to be the prime attraction of this movie and that is why we will eagerly wait for this movie. You may have also seen the trailer. How do you like it? Do let us know that.
