Chhobi Biswas: Get ready for a nail biting psychological thriller
About the story: This is a psychological crime drama. Those Who have already seen Rahul Mukherjee's work in projects like Dilkhush or Kismis, you will be knowing that he usually does projects which are light hearted. But here he has portrayed a psychological crime drama which is not his usual genre. And he has done it quite successfully. The story goes like this. There is this boy who is mentally in a very confused state, in a depressed state of mind and from there he decides that he would commit a few murders. In the way he carries out the murders, those are done in the way of serial killing. Why he commits all these murders and where do all these take him; to know the answer, you will have to watch the web series.

About the web series review: if I talk about some positive points and some negative points of the web series, then I have to say that even before discussing the technical Part I must say that the performance part is really praise-worthy. Subhasish Mukhopadhyay, Anuradha Mukherjee, Chandan Sen everyone is really good. Even the one who has done the lead character; everyone is pretty good in this series. This web series is basically standing on some of the technical parts. In this series Madhura palit has done the work of the DOP and as you all know she is a renowned DOP and her work is really good. In this series also, she has done fantastic work.
First let me tell you, that the kind of budget that is usually allocated for a Rahul Mukherjee directed webseries , that budget is not provided here. However, in the given budget also, the way Madhura Palit has done her work is Praise worthy. Since this is a a crime drama, the way she has used the light - there is the use of dark tone and the way certain angles are captured, certain Ariel shots are taken, and the way the lighting has been used, all these have definitely created the mood of the series. Now if I talk about the music of series, that is also very good. Here we will see that by using the noise of the camera they have created the music or the background music of the series.
Here in this web series you will see that the different parts of the web series are named after different parts of the camera. You will understand the reason behind such naming, only after watching the web series. Here the role of the antagonist's or the protagonist's father is played by Subhasish Mukhopadhyay, he is really obsessed with the camera. And why so? to know the answer to that you will have to watch the full web series. All I will say is that the background music is really good and a song is used here, which is also pretty good. And the way certain homages are used in the web series, that is also mention worthy. As you know in Rahul Mukherjee's films he often uses certain homages. Here also that is used and the audience will love the homage. And with which movie you will find the similarity of the homage, that you can understand after watching the web series.
Now if I go to the second part, I have really liked the location that is chosen for this webseries. And the way the story and the script has proceeded in this web series that is also quite brilliant. Every moment of the web series is very closely knit. So much so that it will always keep the audience engaged. Not only that there is a twist in the end, that will take you to an absolutely different juncture. To know what that twist is, you will have to watch the web series.
Not only that in this entire psychologcal crime drama webseries, that portion which is like oasis in the desert, are few romantic scenes. Those portions really work very nicely in this series. That will give you quite a relief. The way the romantic scenes have been depicted and used that gels really well with this series and they definitely enhances the web series.
Among the negative points I will say only this, the character of the police officer played by Kinjal Chatterjee, that portion is not well explored. Though, if we watch the web series we will understand that the whole series is from the perspective of the person who is committing the crimes. However, in a crime drama like this the role of the police inspector is very crucial. How the police is solving that crime, that is very vital. This is where the series is lacking a little. That is the only negative point.
The Verdict: This is a very well made series. A brilliant psychological crime drama, which is quite engaging. All of you watch it and let us know your opinion. I think you will love the series. More we can say, only once the web releases.
