About the Trailer Review:

The film is centred around the livelihood of the people of Sundarban, their ways of life, their lifestyle, there rituals, and obviously certain criminal activities of that place . There is a dialogue in the film which says that a tiger can see everybody but everyone can't see a tiger. It is quite clear from this dialogue that there are man-eaters in the Jungle of Sundarban and they harm the people. But at the same time there are few human beings also, who are harming other people.

In the pivotal roles in the film, we will find Parno Mitra, Sohini Sarkar, Dibyeneu Bhattacharya and others. All of you must be knowing Dibyendu Bhattacharya. Those of you who watch Hindi movies must have seen him as he has worked in few Hindi films. Most importantly how the rituals of Sundarbans are highlighted in the movie ; like when a woman becomes a widow there, how the vermilion is rubbed off from her forehead and details like that are beautifully portrayed in the film. And the rituals which are observed while worshipping Bonbibi, how groups of performers come from outside and how there are songs and dances while worshipping Bonbibi, all these things are very nicely shown in the trailer. Then there are quite a few people living in Sundarban who are taking advantage of their position and are carrying out criminal activities. How these people are represented metaphorically that is quite an interesting part of the film.

The Acting Part: If you go by the cast and crew, the film must turn out to be a good one. There are accomplished actors like Parno Mitra, Sohini Sarkar, Dibyeneu Bhattacharya and others and from what we can see in the trailer everyone has acted really well.

Scripting and Technical part: The story of the film is a little different. Many of you must have watched Abar Proloy. It was also a Sundarban oriented movie but this particular film is not like any other commercial movie which has been made on Sundarban. This is very simple story of the livelihood of the people of Sundarban but I really like the narrative of the movie. The dialects of the place has been wonderfully used and the scripting of the movie is really touching.

Most Importantly how the various scenes are shown in the movie. Which means, how the cinematography of the movie is done. There is one particular scene where the characters are mud-encrusted; it is a romantic scene. The framing of this scene is beautiful. This apart there are quite a few frames which capture the aerial views of the boat of Sundarban and they are beautiful. Colour grading is also touching the hearts of the viewers.

Now let me talk about the background music of the film. The background music of the movie is good. There's a song in the film that in itself is good but the way it has been sung, that is not good. The use of the vocal is not matching with the dialect of Sundarban or the ambience of Sundarbans. This is my ofcourse opinion and it it can be subjective.

Verdict:

The overall presentation of the film, how the locations that are chosen; all these things are uplifting the quality of the film. At least so it seems from the trailer. Now how the film will turn out, that is a different matter because many time it is seen that the trailer creates great impression on us while the movie doesn't turn out to be that good while again there are cases where the trailer is not that good but the movie turns out to be much much better. Thus it is definitely not possible to say how the film is going to be just by judging its trailer. However, the trailer is promising enough.
