About the story: The film is based on a famous novel by Buddhadeb Guha, called Babli. At the very onset, there is dialogue by Subhashree which says that we cannot accept a overweight girl as the heroine of a novel. But here a plump girl is the heroine of the story and how her Prince charming comes into her life; that is the main plot of the story.

About the teaser review: Babli is a romantic film. Here the chemistry of the hero and the heroine is shown very nicely. Here, opposite Subhashree, we are getting Abir, who is looking very handsome in the film. There is one particular scene where Abir is coming out of the swimming pool, torso bare, and he looks very attractive. Secondly, Subhashree, though looking bulky for the requirement of the story, is looking quite pretty. Their pair looks very nice.
The romantic scenes of the film are impressive and touching the hearts of the viewers. The technical aspect of the film is very good and the work of the DOP is praise-worthy. The colour gradation, the way the angles are shot, all are impressive. As we know Raj Chakraborty films are usually mainstream movies and hence here also the shots are captured like those of mainstream movies and the frames are really eye-catching and appealing. There is one particular scene inside the car, where it is raining outside and this romantic scene is captured beautifully. All the locations chosen for this movie are beautiful. Their chemistry, as shown in the movie, is crackling. Towards the end of the teaser, there is a scene where Subhashree is leaving. We cannot anticipate the reason of her living before watching the film, but there is pathos in this scene. This film, as it seems, deals in human emotions and this is going to be a beautiful romantic movie. The rest can only be said after watching the film. The background music, script designing everything is good and it seems that the film is going to be entertaining as well as engaging.
Verdict: After a long time the teaser of a mainstream movie has touched a chord with the audience. This is going to be a beautiful romantic film as it seems from the teaser. All of you go and watch the movie and let us know your opinion.
