Athhoi Teaser Review
Athhoi: It is indeed too deep and dark human psychology
About the story: There is tremendous anticipation regarding the forthcoming film Athhoi. Athhoi was originally first staged as a play and after that, this time it is now being presented as a film. Here we will get to see the chemistry between lago, Desdimona and Othello just as we have seen in the original play. But how their chemistry in this film is related to the original play, that part is yet to be seen. What we can say is that the way the teaser has been presented, it is looking quite good.
About the cast: Anirban Bhattacharya, Sohini Sarkar, Arna Mukhopadhyay, Ditipriya Roy, Arpan Ghoshal, Mimi Dutta, etc
About the director and producer: The film is directed by Arna Mukhopadhyay. Othhoi, after its successful theatrical presentation, is now being adapted for silver screen by SVF Entertainment and JIO Studios.
About the teaser review: Here the acting of Sohini Sarkar, Anirban and Arna that we are seeing in the teaser, is quite impressive. There is one scene where an effigy is burnt. Then there are other scenes like the one where Anirban is riding a bike with Sohini and yet another where Arna and Anirban are riding a bike. So how these scenes are related to the main story, that remains to be seen after the movie releases. However the technical parts are really very good. There are quite a few dark shades because as we all know this is a tragedy of Shakespeare. Thus there are use of dark shades in some places and dark lights are used to portray certain scenes; which are appealing to us. There is one scene in the dark, where someone is jumping with a torch in hand to kill someone else and that scene is quite remarkable. And after that there is absolutely pin drop silence which is making an impact on the audience. That particular incident is touching us as a viewer. The background score is also very good and it successfully portrays the mood of every scene. The angles of cinematography are also good. There is one scene where a bus is travelling across a plain which is absolutely bare. That scene is standing out. Moreover the looks of all the characters like that of Arna, Anirban, Sohini all are quiet appropriate. However what remains to be seen is that how all they are inter relationships are connected to the story.
Some of the set designs of the film are really good. And the way the scenes are picturised, these set designs are becoming even more relatable to the play, as according to the Teaser.
Verdict: As I always say a trailer is a miniature representation of a film but a teaser is not that. It consists of snippets of the film and here it is presented in a very eye catching way. I cannot say anything more about the teaser right now. We are all waiting to see the trailer and finally the movie and we all are waiting eagerly to see that.
