Anusandhan Film Review

Anusandhan is a gripping film with an intriguing twist in the end. Despite the dark narrative, the strong cast delivers excellent performances that keep the darkness at bay. The story takes place in a room with two lawyers, a judge, an executioner, and the defendant, creating a tense and enclosed atmosphere.

While the film is an adaptation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt's novel A Dangerous Game, Kamaleswar Mukherjee has crafted an impressive screenplay that closely follows the original storyline. The narrative skillfully moves back and forth between the trial and the events in the life of the protagonist, Indra, that ultimately lead him to the defendant's box. The audience is left guessing about the connection between the family conducting the trial and Indra's ex-boss and his wife, as the judge creates accurate pencil sketches of the duo during the proceedings. This guessing game adds to the engaging nature of the film.

The twist in the end brings a fresh touch to the story, even for those familiar with the original source material. Kamaleswar Mukherjee's screenplay keeps viewers wondering where all the drama is leading and maintains a level of suspense throughout.

Overall, Anusandhan presents a gripping and well-crafted narrative with a strong cast and an unexpected twist, making it an engaging watch for audiences.
