Ahalya is a psychological drama. Not only that, the film entails several paranormal activities. The story is about a gym trainer who stays in a particular room and suddenly his life changes. The film has two layers and beneath the layer of paranormal activities, a different story unfolds.

About the film review:
To tell the story shortly, this is a psychological drama and there are quite a few paranormal activities. Up to a certain point, the film proceeds in a straight manner but after sometime it enters the zone of paranormal. But showing paranormal activities is not the main aim of the film. under the layer of The paranormal activity, there is a different story which unravels, which we can understand only if we watch the film fully.
There are several positive points of the film and they are also negative points. apart from Bonny SenGupta there payel Sarkar, Priyanka Sarkar and Vishwanath Basu in the film.
Acting Part:
The first positive point of the film is the performance by every artist. Here we get to see bonny as a gym trainer. He stays in a particular room permanently. From that time on, there are some paranormal behaviours that can be noticed in his activities and some distinct changes can be seen in his behaviour, in this time.
Bony has played the role of a gym trainer nicely secondly Priyanka, Payel and Biswanath all have acted quiet nicely in the movie. The film doesn't catch the attention of the viewers from the very beginning but after the point where the film enters the paranormal zone, it becomes quite interesting.
Scripting and Technical part:
The cinematography of the film is quite good the angles from which shots are taken are also good and the colour gradation of those paranormal scenes are praiseworthy . Here, past life and present life of Bonny are shown which definitely enhance the level of the film. The main attraction of the film is the little girl and we will get to see her all along the film. Why she used to come or why nobody could see her, if we disclose all these things, it will be a spoiler for the film. But all I can see is that I have quite liked the acting of the little girl.
There are some negative points to the movie as well. The beginning of the film is not that interesting and it may test the patience of the viewers . If the beginning of the story would have been handled more carefully the film would have become even better. Apart from The paranormal scenes there are many romantic scenes in the film also, but I don't think that those romantic scenes have worked very well with the audience. Songs of the film are good in themselves but their placement in the film are not quiet good. Over all the film is good and there is suspense but you may feel that the film is a bit lengthy. If the editing had been better, the film could have reached a different height.
The colour graduation of the film apart from the scenes involving the paranormal activities is not very good. The background score of the film is also so so.
Verdict:
Overall, this is a family entertainer and of all you can go and watch the film. if you compare this film to bonny's other films, then we must say that this is a smarter movie and I am sure all of you who have seen Bonny's other films, are going to discover him in a different light in this movie. So that makes the movie interesting.
All in all, you are going to like the film as a family entertainer. However, I cannot say that this is a must-watch! All of you go and watch the movie and let us know how you like the movie. I am pretty sure, you won't be bored.
