About the Curtain Raiser Event 
Curtain Raiser Event of Banglar Jatiyo Gorbo 2024, a unique initiative by Angel Creations owner Sangita Sinha for felicitation of Bengali National Award Winners from movie segments.
Every year someone from Bengal gets national award which become the pride of entire Bengal but no initiative was taken to give any honour to those pride of Bengal from the state itself. It is not that the national awardees of Bengal will not have regrets about it but this time, that regret is going to come to an end.

When the Event taking place?
Bengal's National Award recipients will be felicitated at the end of February. No, this initiative is not of the state government, but a private organization has come forward in this regard. Starting from Mithun Chakraborty to Kaushik Gangopadhyay, Sudipta Chakraborty to Eamon Chakraborty, Churni Gangopadhyay to Rupa Gangopadhyay, Rituparna Sengupta, director Ramkamal Mukherjee, the list is not short. It is known that even though the national award comes to Bengal every year, the state government has never taken the initiative to honour them. On February 26, 2024, this honouring ceremony is going to be organized in a five-star hotel in Kolkata where the national award winners will be present in Tolipara. This event has been named as 'Bangla National Pride'.
What did Actress Roopa Gangopadhyay Say?
Actress Roopa Gangopadhyay praised the initiative. She said, 'I had forgotten that I had also received the National Award. It is a matter of pride when someone returns to his state after receiving a national award. It was a pleasure to be invited to this event, a great initiative to bring together and honour those who have received national awards so far. Thanks for the reminder after all these years.” 
What did Director Ramkamal Mukherjee Say?
Ramkamal Mukherjee, the director and son of Bengal, has recently received the National Award. He received this award for the film 'Dua' and said, 'It is a matter through which talent will be identified. We as Indians are proud to receive a national award and then, if I get an honour from my own state, it is a different joy. Nostalgia works. These things further motivate the state level talent.
